The first pair have made me wonder as well; possibly an intergrade of the two subspecies? They came from a breeder in Florida, not much information beyond hatch date and gender. I liked their baby pics anyway and had to have them.

Then when a friend gave me number two, which is for certain a San Diego, I was even more puzzled as to what my 08 pair were, as the pattern is more like him than like my other Pacifics. There is a lot of variation amongst this species depending upon locale.
