I try to avoid that if I can. Most of the reds and Easterns and coastal plains I work with will never see a scented mouse. Most will take a live or ft pink after some period of assist feeding with tails.

There are exceptions - the ones that hold out for 9months or more I usually give in. I've got one red from last year that is like that.
