my 6 year old daughter caught a juv N back racer in
my yard under one pf my cover boards last weekend...
(and yes that little girl is awesome to be catching snales on her own at 6 but her 2 yr old sister has her beat...she does ot as well!)

anyhoo... my 6 yr old wanted to keep it for a while at least and ive never attempted to keep a juv racer.

i just wanted to report success!
i started "cupping" the snake with a live (unscented) pinky
and it ate the first attempt. last night i cupped it with a live pinky and a f/t pinky head and it ate both! i think it will be eating FT very soon and my daughter will have herself a pet racer!
