What kills me is that usually I'm trying to get rid of males because I end up with too many of them, and yet when I need one nobody else has suitable selections

I have no issue borrowing a loaner male if that is what I have to do, and that may be my only option since I really want a nicer specimen to compliment this girl.

I have seen albino gophers at some shows that were labeled as Applegates and I am 100% certain were not. It's a shame.

I'd love for someone to say "Hey, I have this gorgeous male that I acquired from Bob", or "...that is the offspring of snakes acquired from Bob". For the right Applegate male, I would probably pay more than most would think an Applegate is worth... My fault for not having acquired more of this stock many years ago when I had the chance.

How big of a ruthveni collection do you have? If you have any particularly clean specimens you're planning to breed next year, put me down for a pair. As one of the rarest snakes in the USA, and one with a threatened population, it would be a nice addition to have.
