Thank you all. Other personal issues have kept me away.

We did find out that it was not an oviduct rupture -- something was wrong with the oviducts that our vet had never seen before -- the yolk was literally oozing through the wall of the oviduct itself.

If anyone wants more information I do have the vet records.
