First google snake mites and make sure thats what you have. They are black little bastard bugs that do crawl around, although they sit still at times too.

after mite confirmation,

1. Go to your pharmacy.

2. Buy "NIX" which is a human Lice application. come with 2 bottles should cost $20 or so.

3. mix 1 bottle with 3/4 gallon of water, and put into a spray bottle. I like the tall walmart spray bottles the best.

4. Clean, and then spray down the enclosure both inside and out. spray down the whole rack system if thats what your working with. I personally spray down the whole room.

5. repeat this step every 4-5 days for 2 weeks. You are killing eggs and babies this way.

*you can also give the snake a bath periodically, as this kills mites. If you give it a large enough water bowl they may already be soaking themselves.

** Nix is strong so don't use it more than every 4 days.
