Great looking animals! Thanks for sharing.
I have to say though, I've always been confused by these "purple" line hogs that I have now seen for a couple of years. To me, there's nothing purple about them. If anything, some animals can look more burgundy than red while others, well, they don't really look all that different than the typical coloration, whether that's with the Normals or morphs like the Albinos, I just don't see the purple in them. It's nothing against your animals because they are beautiful, but this whole purple line thing just seems like another Mitcham scheme that is either way too difficult to reproduce or he's basing it all on just a very few select representative animals that is in no way representative of all so-called purple line hogs. Just like his extreme red line, not all that are labeled as such are extreme red or they simply do not hold the coloration true once they get older. In my mind, either the animal is what it is labeled or it isn't and therefore shouldn't be labeled as such when dealing with line traits. It's a totally different thing when dealing with quantifiable traits like Recessive or Codominant traits, but line traits can be just too unreliable, especially when outcrossed. Just my humble opinion. Sorry for the rant!
That Southern is stunning!!!
Thanks again for sharing Jonathan! ----- Troy Rexroth Rextiles
