It's sad that breeding loans have cause people to lose pets and breeding animals. I always make sure never to loan out a sick organism or even a possibly carrier. One of the breeding loans I had set-up, where I was sending a calico black rat snake to create some first-ever morphs was canceled when I learned the animal was possibly sick from being infected unknowingly at the original owner's place.

It's always going to be a risk, but worth it sometimes imo. I know I would be the one loaning out the animal most likely, especially with a high end cross but to me it may justify the potential risks in the end. I do see your point though of it not being justifiable on the other end though, but a chance for someone with a "pet" male to get breeding in. I'm working out a loan of a DRMB that is someone's pet to come and breed my haitian (both C. striatus).
