Late reply but... I have been using fabric paint to mark tortoises. I get it from Walmart and it works great. It is easy to scrape off if you want to change it. And it does not contain the nasty acetone that nail polish has.

Nice adult elongated adults in your previous post Richard. Where did you get such a nice group? LOL.
