No Frank these are proper long term crush cages, they may live in for 10 years (live may not be the right word), very very horrible to see, they have a tube & bag attached to collect the bile, sometimes they have a metal casing around their waists for life.

yes very strange us humans, one of the most wonderful creations, yet been capable of carrying out appalling acts of evil.
