DAILY BHASKAR (Jaipur, India) 19 December 13 106 students rushed to hospital after lizard's head found in meal in Bihar

Patna/Sheohar: In yet another shocking incident, 106 children were rushed to Sadar hospital after parts of a lizard were found in their mid-day meal at Sugia Katsari middle school in Sheohar district on Tuesday.

Sources said that the mid-day meal was cooked for about 350 students. One of them found a part of lizard in the food causing panic among the children.

102 students were discharged the same day after treatment while four others were admitted for a day.

According to he sources, the head of the lizard was recovered from the food and sent for forensic examination.

Several guardians of the children protested and demanded headmaster's resignation.

After receiving information about the incident, District magistate Vinod Narayan Singh, Himanshu Shankar Dwivedi, Superintendent of Police rushed to the hospital.
