HA HA! I hear ya!!!
Most of us never know when to cut off!! HA HA!

Yes, Mexican pines can be prone to regurge, if power fed or kept way too warm. I lost my first deppei to regurge, and so, I learned the hard way. After speaking with many breeders, their experience fulfilled what I had heard from keepers' experiences as well.

They are not fragile to keep. On the contrary, they are still very easy to keep, as well with other pits. They just REALLY do well with cooler temps, even a little cooler than other pits, and what I told by many breeders, food items not too large in their first year of growth ( a little smaller than what northerns or bulls could take, at mealtime ) and limit one per feeding, once a week. Some even told me to wait until once every 8 or 9 days. I fed every 7 days though.

Once their first year has passed, the meals then can be decent sized like your other pits, but again, limit one per feeding, if you feed your other pits more. They can grow a little slower than other pits too. Most of my adult deppei deppei or jani range anywhere from 4 1/2 feet to 6 feet, and still growing!

So, this has been my experience, and it could differ from keeper to keeper, but this has been mine and the knowledge that had been passed to me from many others. Others may have diff input, and if so, please add!!!
