I have an 11 pound dog that means the world to me. He may as well be my son. Years ago I had a taiwan beauty that I was forced to get rid of. I had to move suddenly, wound up taking a job where I was on the road constantly, but it was worth it to get away from the woman I was living with. I'm sure there are a lot of guys that understand what I mean. In the immortal words of Sam Kinison "you just want to get out at a redlight and run away. You can have the car, I just want my life back" Anyway, it was obviously better to find a home for my taiwan than to try taking him in the truck with me and to motels and such. So. out of all the snakes I've ever had, I miss him the most. Still to this very day, he is my favorite snake looking back on the almost 30 years I've been keeping snakes. But, there's Louis, my dog. Am I just being paranoid that I worry an adult Taiwan would kill him if it ever escaped. I know about being dilligent about cage building and about being careful about handling etc, to prevent escapes, but things do happen. So, if that happened, would an adult Taiwan go after something 11 pounds? I'm sure the dog would try to fight back, but what if the dog was asleep? I just think about the taiwan's size and mostly its feeding response. I'm just wondering if this is a valid concern, or if I'm depriving myself of owning another Taiwan just because of my being silly.
