I bought a juvenile at a show about a year ago to add to my collection because it was an absolutely beautiful animal. While I was working on a summer job out of state for 2 months, I had a biology teacher take care of my collection. In mid-June, somehow the little dude got loose...in a school. After searching for a while, my teacher friend gave up (I don't blame him).

After EIGHT MONTHS of roaming the hallways of a giant, cold administration building, he turns up in the computer lab across the hall...alive. Needless to say, I was shocked that he survived in the school for 8 months and extremely pleased to add him back to my collection. It just goes to show how incredibly resilient the Colubridae family is. However, he nearly shrunk to half his previous size and picked up a nasty, bubbly respiratory infection. He's been eating and hydrating like crazy.

Anybody ever treated a Colubrid for an R.I.?
