I am an amateur herpetologist...yesterday 'rescued' a wild 3 toe boxie. She has apparently been clipped by a car but not run over. Has some damage on the outer edge of the carapace, scrapes on the plastron that seem to be superficial, and a couple of small cuts on tail and back leg. None of that worries me. What is concerning is the part of her pastron that would close up over the back legs and tail has been damaged. It appears to be totally separated from the main part of the pastron, but attached to her just fine...just sags down a bit from where the rest of her shell is.

I dont know that there are any ways to reattach it? I am in rural Oklahoma with no vet near that can help me.

She has eaten some, and back legs appear to work ok.

Any thoughts? Care ideas?
