One last reply to you. One of my mentors and particularly in this area was the late Joseph Lazlo. A past curator of reptiles at S.A. zoo. I was fortunate enough to take him in the field to observe his first "Willardi" He was a very large man and for good reason. He simply amazed me with his knowledge of snake behavior, and all based on captives as he was too large to do field work. He taught me that you can indeed learn from both the animals in the field and animals in captivity.
While I was always the way I am, to question and test, requestion and test again and again. Joseph Lazlo was also like that and criticized for that as well. So watching that occur to him, educated me on the type of people that practice that approach. In most cases they are merely nice folks that cannot seem to accomplish much. So they become jealous and feel inferior. About your inbox, that's easy, the worlds full of those that do, and those that whine. I am sorry your a whiner. Again, best of luck in your life. Oh how many have you killed? For your information, I have not lost a single hognose, not one. But I have lost some eggs. Now we can debate if that is actually killing. I am fairly sure, we ALL have lost eggs.
