May I add a thought. In nature, snakes and in particularly neonates, move from summer areas to fall areas as the temps drop. If they cannot, they stop feeding and go down. So, they extend their feeding season by moving to more suitable areas.
In captivity they are trapped. So they have no choice, but to stop feeding.
I have been at this for a long time and I stopped taking temps a long time ago. If I want them to keep feeding, I adjust the temps to support that. If I do not, I will allow them to cool. The reality is, snakes work by mass temps, not air temps. In the fall as the outside temps drop, the mass temps also drop. While air temps may be the same, the actual snakes temps are not, as they are touching hard surfaces(the mass)
