We have had the crested for 2 months now. I have been feeding him crickets every 5 days in addition to his crested gecko food on the advice of the pet store since he is a baby and wanted him to get used to his new home, and they weren't sure if he would take to the food right away. We were told to do that for about a month. I am not sure that he even eats the gecko food so I have been afraid to stop the crickets. Other than there being a noticeable amount of food gone, how do I know if he is eating the food? I don't notice that he is eating that food.
