Sounds like it needs a better home. If i were you, i'd tell the teacher your thoughts & if nothing is done, tell your principal. Maybe suggest you would take it if need be. It sounds like it needs to be fed more often, bedding changed, lights def turned off at night, maybe wormed & maybe even given cocci treatment. Hope this helps. i'm no expert but I know what you said was def not the way a Leo should act. Good luck!!
