Liquid Bandage

Hello! My dog Zeus developed a sore directly under his eye. It's a hairline away from his eye. It bleeds, and I clean it with peroxide and apply some neosporin. But it never gets the chance to heal since when he sleeps it rubs against the carpet. Is it safe for me to use a liquid bandage on his face, and when its so close to his eye? Or is there another way to keep the area protected enough to allow it to heal. If I can use the liquid bandage should it be a specific one for pets, or can I use one that humans use? Thank you in advance.
