I...almost....wish mine would. From the original batch in my outdoor "bathtub" pond, ONE is a female. She spawns weekly. Sometimes every 2-3 days. The other fish keep her on top of the plants and OUT OF THE WATER nearly constantly.
And she keeps on spawning.
ONE baby survived from last year's thousands of eggs. Now this year, I notice ANOTHER small one scuttling on the bottom. This one is brown, but I have heard that goldfish sometimes color up AFTER some time.
At any rate, this constant SLOSHING and THRASHING has certainly ended the pond as a RELAXING thing to watch.
I'm tempted to "remove" her but just can't do it. I figure it HAS to wear out ....someday.
But WILL it?
