Weird thing about the brown one. The FIRST surviving baby was gold from the get-go. First noticed him/her as a gold STREAK about a quarter inch long.
I had always HEARD that they take a while to color up. I have NO idea where the seemingly SINGLE fry might hide to get so big before coming out. ONE a year seems strange. Especially after so much spawning.
