New Fish Won't Eat

Hi- I built a new pond with a flexable liner.

It's 17'x 5'x 10" to 18" I have a 20' waterfall with a 30" wide sheet of water. My goldfish always go into hiding when the waterfall comes on. If I turn it off they'll swim around but they won't even look at the food. I tried pond sticks and flakes. It's been 4 day and I hav'nt seen them eat. Any insight?
