You shouldn't feel dumb. We are all still learning.

I mean, gouramis are semi-aggressive or peaceful (community) fish, so I don't think there is a problem with there being two, but I'm not sure. I've promoted your post, if you didn't see that already. Hopefully someone else can enlighten us.
