Hi
I have a 20 year old Yellow Naped Amazon that I have had for 16 years. She (Nellie) is a very healthy and happy bird, I have always wanted to add another bird to our family but was always afraid of how it would effect Nell. Well one of my clients has a 17 year old Affrican Grey that they are looking for a home due to lifestyle changes. The bird looks very healthy, a little feather plucking on belly, shy but not aggressive.

My questions are:

How will adding another bird change Nell's personality? The Grey lives with a cockatoo.

Being this bird is coming from a home enviorment how long do I need to quarintine the new bird?

Should I have any tests done on the new bird, The owner claims she has always been very healthy.

Will they ever be able to be together on the same perch? As long as they show no aggression of coarse.

Any advice anyone has will be greatly appericated!
