The reason why I ask is that the beak overgrowing too quickly or becoming malformed/discolored can be a sign of liver disease/failure or certain bacterial infections. In those cases your bird would need medication or a special diet to help it and your vet would be able to assist you with the testing and the possible treatment or cure.
