Hi

I also haven't heard of eclectus parrots with respiratory problems unless they're brought on by bad parenting via humans. Then the respiratory problems are in young chicks.

There's a LOT needed to know about eclectus parrots. They are fantastic & super easy to care, as long as it's all done correctly. Their diets are a major issue if it isn't correct. You might also consider that for a relatively quiet bird, the chances of it being noisy can be high if you have a noisy cockatoo in the house. Ekkies love to imitate noises & sounds & they do a fantastic job at doing it too :D

Generally the ekkie is a hardy healthy bird as long as their diets given are correct. There is the occasional ekkie that may have food related problems or other health problems but this is an individual thing, nothing to do with the species of eclectus.
You might be able to find out a little bit more about them from the link bellow.
