I was working doing drywall in a new home in western Arizona. I looked out and saw a dove like I have never seen before walking up to a "drywall mud" mud hole. Water filled with drywall compound, not fit to drink. I walked out to scare the bird away and he or she just sat there. I reached down and picked it up. I gave it some clean water to drink.
We have alot of hawks and coyotes here so I figured it was to tame to release. I made a cage for it and have had it now for about three weeks. I let her, him,it, out to fly in the office every day or two. My question is, besides the cooing sound she makes, she has starting Laughing, HEhehehehehe. Is this a normal sound for a collared dove or is she mocking my wife? Thanks for any info and advice. She has become a good pet.
