Wow, this place has the atmosphere of an abandoned barn! I just thought I'd see if anyone evse comes round anymore.
we are getting our first horse in a few days. She's a paint mare, looks a bit like Tovero to me; a little too much dark on her face to be a Medicine Hat. I enclosed a pic below of her pretty face.
She is only a three year old. My friend has her stabled at their place, along with 20-something other horses. They have the land and facilities for it. We will keep her there until spring, at which time we'll have some nice accomodations renovated into an old, yet sturdy, barn we have. We are going with electric fencing.
I am so happy we are actually doing this! My boyfriend and I have both wanted horses forever. This sweet girl seems like a great start.
She is not yet broke for riding, however. I suspect she is note ven fully grown yet. But my friend is extremely a horsey guru, and with her help we will make this all work. To put a long story short, this horse was abandoned, along with two others, by a former boarder who fled the state.
We'll see how things go!
