Hello. I had this problem with my young horse when we would go to horse shows. What I did was had someone help me by holding him up front with a seperate lead rope while I opened up the back and walked up to him and untied his second lead rope. This way, if he did try to bolt out of the trailer, two people had ahold of a leadrope so he wouldnt get loose. (also consider doing this in an enclosed area just in case he does get loose, like a pasture or something) Then back him up and if he gives any hints that he is going to start booking out, walk him forward if you can. Then once you get him calm, or to where he doesnt want to fly backwards, try backing him up again. Once you get him out nicely, pet him and tell him good-boy. Walk around a little and try again. Do that about 3 times a day until you can go anywhere and hes totally good! Also, try not be frusturated, that only makes things worse and your stress goes right through the lead rope (or reins) and makes them stressed out as well. Hope this helps
