Miniature Donkeys

Just wondering if anyone out there has any info on miniature donkeys. I am just trying to research them a bit for sometime down the road. Not now, but in a couple years I would like to buy a house with possibly a stable or land to build one. I have heard great things about miniature donkeys as pets, and wanted to know what others experience was.
