Mini foals are very docile and inqusitive. Normally within a few weeks we have them halter trained etc. Of course there are always an exception or two to that. last year we had a little demon with a capital D born and he was just a terror with biting and kicking etc. It took about 2 months to get him calmed down. But generally they are as docile and easy to work with as any large breed of horse. the best thing is when one kicks or bites it is a lot less serious than with a big horse. We rode performance horses ( cutting & barrel horse) but as we got a little older I wanted something that was easier to handle so we really got into the miniature full tiem. Now my cutting horse ( 23 years old) and my wifes barrel horse ( 39 years old ) are living the life of leasure and are retired. they deserve it LOL.
