The above web site is the pinto horse Asso. Go under forms. There you will find registration applications. I am not sure if Pinto looks at horses the same as miniature horses. But the rule for the miniatures is they have to have a 2x2 spot on them not on there legs. If one of the parents are pinto and the other has pinto in back ground they qualify as breeding stock. They can't have any appy traits at all.

As far as ground work. Start her lunging. Not a tight circle. Work on her leads now and gates. Work maybe a few min. every other day. If you have a light saddle you could put that on her and get her used to working with that. I wouldn't start putting to much weight on her until she is at least 21/2 TO 3. But if you have that all done by then she will be easier to work with. Take her to pinto show and show her halter, trail in hand. That gets her used to the shows. If you can find a rubber bit you can start teaching her to carry a bit at 1 1/2 to 2 depending on the teeth. If you do a lot of ground work with her then she will be nothing to start riding.

Good luck and I hope that helps.
