Posted by: PHRascal at Tue Jul 14 15:33:43 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by PHRascal ] Bob Vest, who conducted herding clinics nationally and internationally, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, in his sleep at home in Coggon, IA, at age 71. In herding circles, this man was all but idolized for his ability to train dogs and for his positive relationship with dogs and their owners. He also worked as a horse trainer and farrier, and had a special interest in helping lame horses. Bob owned, bred and trained Australian Shepherds. He was an ASCA-approved stock dog judge. He remained very active and had many clinics booked at the time of his death, including one later this month in Ontario. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
