Alright, I'm an absolute wreck, I am the new owner of a hatchling (month old..if not a little older, unsure) ball python, (sex unknown though I'm going with female right now) who has escaped twice within the past three days.

I keep her in a 55gal aquarium but I don't have a proper screen cover for it so I was just using two window screens held down with large rocks (mistake, I know, but I didn't have the heart to stick her in a 10gal). The first time she escaped I found her in my potted plant curled up neatly...and that was only after an hour of searching.

Its been...14 hours since I found her missing (although I'm unsure how long she was out before then) and I tore my room to bits, boxing things up, unfolding and folding things, checking everything. I've had a heating pad with a pre-killed mouse out (that I ran along the room) out for the past four or five hours and, I'm becoming a despaired creature. I'm starting to wonder if maybe she's out of my bedroom and elsewhere on the upper floor of our house, I don't know how far she'd travel, but I plan to search all of tomorrow as I have school off, just ripping apart the house (hopefully without hysterics as I was earlier) ...so...anyone have any hints, tips, past experiances. Have I lost her for good? In my room there aren't any holes that lead to the ventilation system...but like I said, I really ripped apart my room, maybe I'm just not seeing her, but I'm starting to worry that she just isn't there.

Thanks so much for any help.
