Henry isn't Psycho...outside is what he knows. He expects to go out and have a good sniff and maybe chase some bugs or birds. However, without claws..you are right. He is defenseless and it isn't safe for him. You need to not let him out. Perhaps he could be taught to go out on a leash or harness. Not to mention cars and mean people. Cats live a longer life inside and the sooner he finds out that he lives inside the better. He is not going to like it and you will have to do some retraining, watch the doors and provide some entertainment for him. Get some interactive toys...like feathers on a string...that you can wave around for him to chase and a squirt gun for when he makes for the door and keep the kitty in. Let us know how he is doing.
