To Big Scary Man why wearing a halloween costume is beneath the dignity of a kitty?

We were in Target looking for a big busy fake moustache for the baby to wear in a Christmas photo (another story...) when he spotted the dog costumes. After going on for several minutes about how 'stupid, who'd waste the money, why? what for?' he saw the pirate costumes - and suddenly it was like "can we get one? huh? huh? can we get one!?!"

Lizzy kitty has one eye - he calls her pirate kitty, or as he put it this weekend - "She doesn't even need the patch!"

I pointed out they were DOG costumes, not cat costumes. What cat would subject themselves to the indignity?
