Pookey needs grooming more (medium fur that likes to mat from time to time) and Stanley has short fur that doesn't need it as much (has never had a mat).

However, as luck would have it, Stanley is CRAZY about being brushed. I have to brush him first, last, and several times in the middle... He is all over me when it is Pookey's turn. Pookey is OK with it, until I get near his hind leg (almost said legs there) or find a mat, then he is done... He starts to wander off and before I can get him, Stanley is throwing his body at me, meowing loudly the whole time...

It is funny, but that is how I got Stanley out from under the bed when I first moved to the condo. The ceilig fan (off) scared them so much as they had never seen one. They hid out for 24 hours and I knew I had to coax them out to eat, drink, and us the litter box. I sat at the end of the bed tapping the brush on the floor and Stanley eventually came out slinking really low... He was scared to death, but automatically responded to the tapping of the brush on the floor to get him to come out.
