Franky LOVES grooming, but she's the one who almost never needs any done. She's a shorthair with a really light undercoat. She loves the rubber brush thing a friend gave us.

Rocky pouts thru grooming, but he tolerates it. He's also shorthair, but he's got more undercoat than Franky. I can usually get by with brushing him every other week or so and not have too much fur everywhere from him.

Ruckus likes the slicker brush, and that's it. He'll tolerate any grooming with that, but if I get out Franky's brush or a comb, he's hissing and running away. He's a shorthair also, but his undercoat is pretty heavy, tho' he's not really fluffy like some.

Danny likes the Furminator (sp?) - looks like a 10 clipper blade stuck on a handle basically. He's a medium hair, and his top coat is always nice and smooth, but his undercoat tends to build up - so the Furminator takes all that out. He'll tolerate combing also, tho' he's a little snotty about having his tummy done.

Sigh, and then the Murfinator - Murphy. I pay to have him lion clipped every 5 weeks. Grooming him isn't worth the hassle - he's a longhair with a very dense undercoat that mats within a day I think. He's also very sensitive with the mats, and if he gets one, he rips at it and won't let anyone groom it out. He's very happy with his lion clip, he stands on the table quite nicely apparently, and he comes home and prances around like he knows he's looking fine. If he's in the right mood, he does like his ruff gently combed out.

They are all ok with the nail trimming at least

Mandy
