Very interesting. I don't wash their dry food dish out every day. I do it often, but not daily. I do wash any treat-dish they use as their treats are semi-moist. I also clean out their water dish daily...

That applied for plastic, too (they are using glass now). I always thought it was bacteria that built out with the dry food sitting in it all day long... But, you guys switched out bowls daily...

(don't be impressed - dishes are easy, since the baby arrived, I dump and scrub the litterbox once a week. Scooping requires a trip to the basement - way too far!)
