Hi There,
Ovaban was once commonly used to treat both behavioral problems and skin problems in cats. In my opinion no cat should be given Ovaban, as it increases the cat's chances of developing some kinds of cancer. There are better, safer options these days.
I have a friend who had a male cat who was put on Ovaban for aggession, and he later developed mammary cancer. The only thing that could have caused this cancer was the Ovaban.
Please talk to your vet about different medication for Piper.
Regards, PHKitkat
