Hi Everyone

Cola was neutered yesterday. He was ready for me to pick up only 4 hours later and after only about an hour at home he was totally back to his usual self. The vet tech said to keep him in his room a couple of days as he'd be unsteady and needed to not be running about (or jumping on Pepsi) but within about 10 minutes he was thundering across the bedroom floor playing with nothingness......totally back to normal and eating properly this morning so I am so happy

His wound is totally invisible and no shaving which was good and occasionally he licks at it, but I think it's just to groom the area as he does it gently and no biting or pulling at it. He was also very friendly the minute we got home and still as much a lover as always ( I was concerned he might be hating me for leaving him there but I think they looked after him really good).

I think yesterday morning was the toughest time for me since we lost Max in April last year as since then we have never taken a kitty to the vets and not returned with the kitty in the box. Those thoughts came flooding back to me yesterday so it was really hard for me until I got a cal lfrom the vets office saying he was ready to be picked up. I sobbed for a quick 10 minutes in the car on the way there, so happy that he was going to be ok.

He is one special baby and thank the lord he can come out of his room this evening when I get in from work and get up to his usual craziness.....yey. Thanks everyone for the advice etc on what to expect with the op.
