What great news Jynx and Spooky are getting along pretty well. I know you were worried!

Ref the kitten. Certainly a vet visit is a good idea whether there is a problem or not -- an initial visit to get a good check-up. One thing to try... They sell a litter at many major pet stores called "Cat Attract" that seems to do wonders attracting cats to the litter box that have problems going outside the box. Something to try. Have your friend use it full strength in the box at first. Should help direct the kitten to the box... The are really strongly attracted to it...
