hello, I am new here too and have been reading through the general discussion with interest. So many different topics are covered and very encouraging to be able to ask for advice from other cat lovers.
I was adopted by two adopted cats three months ago, they have been neutered and spayed, settled in really well but just over the last couple of weeks the boy (Spice) has been spraying in the living room. Only in this room - thank heavens!
I googled to find some explanation for his behaviour and found that cats often do this if the furniture is re-arranged - which I did a while ago.
It is difficult to find where he has actually sprayed, although by sniffing at one of the music systems speakers he showed me where he had just been and at least I could clean it.
Has anyone else had a cat who reacted like this, and what do you do to reassure the cat that everything is still alright? Spice isn't nervy at all, he is very laid back and lazy.
