I know the back of Cat Fancy Magazine lists breeders. It sounds like you've found a pool of breeders and want to know how to select. I would be in the same boat if I went with a purebred. I wonder if you can call a breeder and ask for references? They probably have to prove the cat's pedigree, but how do you know about standards (I haven't really thought about it, but something like a close family line, not much fresh blood brought into the mix, problems could arise).
Thought: There is a section on the main page called breeds, A to Z, and you might have better luck on the Ocicat board. I think there is also a breeder/breeding section. They may not breed Ocicats, but may help you to determine good breeding qualities (standards, things a breeder should produce/pedigree/registration, guarantee you should get from a breeder, etc...)
Good luck. Sorry I am not much help... ----- Tammy and Pookey (Stanley 8/91 - 8/07)
