The internet is a great place to do your homework, but not the best place to purchase an animal. It is too easy for backyard breeders and kitten mills to pass of poorly bred animals on unsuspecting customers.

Also check with purebred rescue groups. You would be surprised how many cats wind up in rescue because the buyers didn't do their homework and selected a cat for appearance instead of purrsonality.
