 Hi Again
A kneading cat is a happy cat! Kneading is a carryover from when the cat was a kitten and nursing from his mom. While they are nursing, they knead to help stimulate the flow of milk. If you have ever watched a nursing litter, the mother is most often kneading as well.

My cat, Freddie, who I adopted at 8 weeks old as a feral, will sometimes come to me, knead on my arm, and suck my shirt at the same time! Occasionally he will even do this at night while I'm asleep and I wake up to a wet spot on my jammies and a slightly sore arm. I love it though because I know that Freddie does this because he loves me!

My oldest male, Jonny Cat, as a kitten, would try to nurse on my earlobes and knead my neck. This may have been because he was only 4 weeks old when I adopted him so he lost his mom very young. He used to wake me up several times a night by doing this but I didn't want to deprive him.

Take care, and please continue posting
