The kitten needs a lot of redirection at this point. When he starts hunting and biting you need to very firmly and quietly place him in a "time out" cage/carrier or room for about 10 minutes. Be sure you have lots of different cat toys, including feathered wands and that you have a lot of playtimes with the kitten. One "rule of thumb" I read was to play with the kitten until he/she lies on his/her side and won't play anymore! This could be a long time, but a rewarding and bonding time for you and the cat as well.

Here are some articles about play aggression in cats:
petplace.netscape.com/articles/artShow.asp?artID=3498
www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/aggression2.html
www.usask.ca/wcvm/herdmed/applied-ethology/behaviourproblems/cataggre.html
www.vetinfo.com/cataggres.html

I hope these will give you some ideas! Also you might want to put a Comfort Zone Plug-in in your bedroom. This may calm the kitten enough to sleep through the night.

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
