Although it sounds like distemper shots would ease behavior problems this is not really the case. Distemper is sort of a laymans' term for a serious cat illness that has nothing to do with hostile behavior!

A male cat instinctively resents new kittens in his territory. Probably the older they get the more he feels threatened by them. Even if he is neutered, he still has that sort of hard-wired into his system and depending on his personality may or may not act upon it.

Keep him separated from the kittens and gradually introduce them. Get a Comfort Zone plug-in with Feliway too. If you can somehow figue out how to share a play session this would be a good start towards some tolerance on his part.

Under no circumstances should you leave the kittens alone with the male until he seems to accept them fully. It will take work on your part to make this happen, so please come back here and post for more advice as you need it.

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
