Definitely get the girl cat checked for a urinary infection, although it sounds like this could be behavioral. Often cats mark beds or bedding not because they hate the person but because they love him and are trying to claim him for themselves. The girl may have some sort of anxiety about your boyfriend leaving - she didn't react well when she experienced separation before. Anyhow if it all checks out and she doesn't have a urinary infection then perhaps a mild dose of Elavil or Prozac can help ease her nerves.

The kitten is being a kitten. They can be pretty bite-y if not trained to stop. The idea of distracting him with a feathered toy or wand is a good thing. You might want to get some "Bitter Apple" or "Bitter End" and have the BF put some on his ankles. This stuff doesn't taste good to cats and they will avoid it. It's harmless and really doesn't smell too bad to humans. When the kitten does bite, yell "OUCH" in the loudest, highest pitched voice you can muster. This sort of sounds like the "uncle" cry kittens make when they've had enough rough playtime stuff and most cats will instinctively back off.

Smile, it will make them wonder what you are up to!
